Tip #1: Image Management

There are two different systems that control images: one system controls the images that are uploaded into your Image Library and used for your Galleries section and the other is for images that are used on text pages within the Website Pages section. Therefore, any image that you wish to use for a website page, like your Home or About page, cannot be pulled from your Image Library section. Instead, you will need to insert this image separately and there is a tutorial that covers this for you, step-by-step: How to Create a Simple Home Page with One Image.  

Tip #2: Galleries

Once you begin to create one or more galleries, then the images that you have uploaded must be added into a gallery in order to show on your website.

You can do this either of 2 ways:

• One way is to assign your images with the Galleries section, as show here: Adding Images to Your Galleries
• Then the other way is while you are uploading a new image or editing an existing one, as shown here: Add To/Edit Galleries

If you have no galleries defined, then the system will show all images on your website.

Tip #3: Landing Pages

You have two different choices for a landing page (which is the first page that your visitors sees): Your Gallery Index Page or a Home Page. The Gallery Index page will be your default landing page until you follow the steps to make the Home page the default instead. We have a tutorial that covers this as well. Once done, your Home page will automatically show as your landing page.

Tip #4: Saving Your Changes

If you find yourself taking your time while working in a specific area of the Control Panel, don't forget to save your latest changes so if the Control Panel ever times out due to inactivity (~1 hr), you still have your last save ready to go and do not lose your work.  

Tip #5: Enabling Shopping Features

If you have enabled the shopping cart and/or prints on demand features for your website, don't forget to go back and edit each image and apply the "Enable Prints-on-demand" selection or the "Enable 'Add to Cart' button".  

Tip #6: Tool Tips

Throughout the Control Panel there are tool tips that are designed to help you along the way. They will appear when you hover over certain buttons and elements of the Control Panel.  

Tip #7: View Live Website

To see any changes live on your website, scroll to the top of your Control Panel and click on “View My Website”.
