Adding & Managing Galleries

Galleries can be important in presenting your work. You can separate them in a number of different ways: by subject category, by medium, by year completed, prints only, etc.

Please note: Once you begin to create galleries, then your images must be assigned to a gallery in order to show on your website. If you have no galleries defined, then the system will show all images on your website.

Create New Galleries

From your Control Panel's Main Menu, click on Artwork.

Click on the tab for Edit Galleries.

Click the New Gallery button on the right.

Within the empty field, enter your new Gallery Name and then click the Save Gallery button.

Your new gallery will now show on the page. If you've already added some of your artwork, then you will need to assign each to a gallery in order for it to show on your website. Click the pencil icon to edit your new gallery.

Here, you can add a brief gallery description, make the gallery invisible on your site, or add a password so only viewers with the password can enter the gallery. To add images to the gallery, click the Add Images button as shown below.

Click on the images to add them to the gallery. Close the Add Images box when you are done.

Your new gallery is complete! The star indicates the image that is the *Gallery Index Image* for this gallery. That image will show on your Gallery page on your website.

To change the order of your gallery images, click the Arrange Images button.

Here, you can use the up/down arrows to move an image to the head or end of the queue, or drag and drop the images into the order you desire.

Click the Save Changes when you are done editing your gallery.

From your Control Panel's Main Menu, click on Artwork Library then click on Edit Galleries. You can remove an unwanted gallery as a whole by clicking the x the “Add” or “Edit” button under the gallery.

From your Control Panel's Main Menu, click on Artwork Library then click on Edit Galleries.

Click the edit/pencil icon to edit the gallery.

Use the x icon to remove artwork(s) from the gallery. Please note This will only remove the artwork from the gallery, it will not delete the artwork from your Artwork library.

Be sure to click the Save Changes button when you are done.

If you need the URL of your hidden gallery for sharing purposes, then before moving onto Step 2, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the top of your Control Panel and click on the “VIEW MY SITE” link.
  2. A new browser window will generate, displaying your live website.
  3. From the navigation bar, click on the gallery you wish to be hidden.
  4. Then go to the browser's address bar, and copy the URL. This is what you will need in order to share your hidden gallery.

From your Control Panel's Main Menu, click on Artwork, then Edit Galleries.

OPTIONAL: Here, you will be able to add an optional introduction about the entire gallery section. You can add an image and/or text.

Click the Add commentary to introduce your gallery to visitors button.

This will open a simple text editor box where you can add text.

Once you have added your text and/or image, select to display the content above or below your Gallery Index Images. Be sure to click Save when you are finished.

Here is an example of the Gallery page with a brief gallery intro.
