Allow Visitors to Share My Pages

From your Control Panel's Main Menu, click on marketing and stats

This section will enable a strip of social media icons at the bottom of every page on your site, so that visitors can easily share that page through Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon etc.

The icons will appear on the lower left-hand corner of your website, and will appear on all your pages.

You can choose from a variety of styles

I. Social Media Icons

This section will create icons on your web site for visitors to follow you on Facebook, Twitter and other Social Media web sites.

To create buttons that link to your Facebook and Instagram page click “Allow Visitors to Follow Me on Facebook/Twitter And Other Social Media Sites.

Click the “Edit” button next to the icon you wish to input URL information.

You will need to input the last portion of each URL that follows the “/” - this indicates to the system where to link to your profile. We will use the most popular choices as examples, which are Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

For Facebook:

Go to www.facebook.com and navigate to the Facebook page you wish to link to on your website. This can be your private personal Facebook page or a Facebook Fan Page, it is your choice. (Click here to create a Facebook Fan Page.) Once there, look at the address bar for the unique URL, which you will need.

You can see that the entire URL is https://www.facebook.com/artspanart, but we only want the last part of the URL that ends after the “/”. This is the portion of the URL that you need. (Please note: If your URL happens to have more than one ”/“, then you'll want the last one only). What we want to copy and paste (or type out) into the empty field is your information, in this example's case: artspanart . When finished click “Save Info” button.

For Twitter:

Go to your Twitter page and look at the address bar for the unique URL, which you will need.

\ You can see that the entire URL is https://www.twitter.com/Artspan_com, but we only want the last part of the URL that ends after the “/”. This is the portion of the URL that you need. What we want to copy and paste (or type out) into the empty field is your information, in this example's case: Artspan_com. When finished click “Save Info” button.

For LinkedIn:

Go to www.linkedin.com and make sure you are logged in. From the toolbar menu, click on Profile –> View Profile. Under your profile picture, there is a URL for your public profile. Click on that link. Then look at the address bar.

You can see that the entire URL is http://www.linkedin.com/in/artspan, but we only want the last part of the URL that ends after the “/”. This is the portion of the URL that you need. (Please note: that it is important that your URL has the ”/in/“ included. If it does not, then please follow the instructions below to fix this). What we want to copy and paste (or type out) into the empty field is your information, in this example's case: artspan. When finished click “Save Info” button.

Create Custom Linkedin URL

To set a custom Linkedin URL and make sure it has the ”/in/“ included, please follow these steps:

  • Step 2) Click on your name in upper right

Google Plus

Go to plus.google.com and make sure you are logged in. In the upper, right-hand corner, click on your name.

From the pop-up window that appears below your name, click on the “View Profile” button.

Now your URL should change to look something like this:

You can see that the entire URL is https://plus.google.com/101729612543021496015/posts, but we only want the numbers of the URL that ends before and after the “/”. This is the portion of the URL that you need. What we want to copy and paste (or type out) into the empty field is your information, in this example's case: 101729612543021496015. When finished click “Save Info” button.

You can add a Pinterest Pin It button and a Facebook Like button that will show with each work of art.
